Area Concert – Wednesday, December 4th – Championship wear orders will be handed out starting at 6:30pm until shortly after the end of the concert.

Holiday Parade – Saturday, December 7th from 11am to 12:00pm

Uniform News

Wednesday, Area Wide Concert

For concert dress band students need to pack the following to wear under uniform:
Black Shoes
Black Socks
Shirt to wear under concert jacket (red or black)
Athletic shorts/leggings to wear under concert pants

**Students that have not been fitted for a concert uniform can be fitted after school on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday in the band room.

Saturday, Holiday Parade

For the parade students need to pack the following to wear under marching uniform:
Black Shoes
Black Socks
Black Dry Fit Shirt
Athletic Shorts
Black Gloves

**All students must pay $5 for Santa hat to wear in parade.  Ms. Wild will be collecting money for hats after school on Thursday and Friday.  Exact change only, no checks.

UK Football Game Concession Volunteers


We have another Concession Opportunity with Atomic Ramen!  There is a High School Football tournament taking place the same weekend as the Parade (which is Saturday morning) at the UK Stadium.

Sunday 12/8 from 12:30-4 p.m.

This was such a fun opportunity last time and was an easy way to earn $500.  If you are willing to work, please email lbafundraising1@gmail.com.

Discount Cards


We are now offering the Lafayette Discount Card for $5!  A perennial community favorite, the Discount Card is good through July 31, 2020.  Please contact Jennie Hayes at lbafundraising1@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing any.  They make wonderful Christmas gifts!

Schedule of Events
5:30 – Set up chairs, stands, percussion, PA (Lafayette students)
6:00 – Concert Band
6:15 – Symphonic Band
6:25 – SCAPA
6:25 – 7th grade seated
6:30 – 6th grade seated
6:30 – 8th grade seated
6:30 – 5th grade seated
7:00 – Mass band rehearsal (all students in chairs)
7:10 – Open doors to parents
7:30 – Concert begins and moves on time!
8:45 – Concert ends (each student takes chair back to cafeteria)

Uniform Schedule:
Concert band dress at 6:00 in the band room
Symphonic band dress at 6:30 in the band room
Wind Symphony dress at 6:30 in the band room

Please Wear:
Nice looking, dress-up clothing; gentlemen wear long pants, what you wear is your uniform.
NO jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, or sandals.
Middle school students will wear their respective schools concert attire
Lafayette will wear uniforms.

Please Bring:
Your instrument in good working condition.
Your music.
A folding stand with your name on both pieces.

When You Arrive:
Find your band set.
Place your instrument case under your seat; large instrument cases go against back wall.
Do not play your instrument; be quiet while other groups are rehearsing.

Parents:
Parking is available in the front or the rear of the school.
Please stay out of gym during rehearsal; doors open at 7:10 pm.
Lafayette parents should enter gym from the outside (near stadium) to reduce congestion.
You may drop off your child 15 minutes before their rehearsal time; we will supervise.
Young children are welcome!  Please keep them from disturbing the concert, however!
600 students are involved; please discuss appropriate concert behavior with your student musician.

Please sign-up to work a Bingo session!  Email LafayetteBandBingo@gmail.com to let Dan know what shift you’re available.  This is the biggest fundraiser for the band.  Bingo is held every Tuesday night throughout the entire year.
