Last Call for Silent Auction Donations

There are some specific items we are seeking for the Band Bash Silent Auction on February 23:

Restaurant or Store gift cards
Event Tickets
Unique Experiences
UK basketball or football tickets

If you are able to donate any of the following items, please contact John or Melena Dailey at LBAfundraising1@gmail.com or call 859-353-2900.

Section Baskets for Silent Auction

This year, each Section will again be collecting items for themed baskets to be auctioned off at the Band Bash!  Families may send a cash donation to be used collectively towards a “big ticket” item or items that correspond to the theme.  Click on the Basket title below for suggestions for donations.  Any cash sent in should be sent in a sealed envelope addressed to Anna Sommer.  Please place your name and the SECTION NAME on the envelope, so we know which basket to apply it to and can verify your donation made it to us.   Other items should be placed in bags or otherwise labeled with the section name.

Any parents interested in helping wrap baskets or shop for the “big ticket” items in stores or online, please contact Erin!  We are asking that all donations be in by February 16, but the earlier the better!  If you have anything that would fit another basket theme better, we’d love to have it – everything benefits the band!

Basket Themes:

S’mores the Merrier!   (Fire Pit/Campfire/All Things S’mores)

Alto Sax

How to Survive Band Camp 101 Basket

Who’s Got a Sweet Tooth? Basket

“May the Force Be with You” Basket (Star Wars)

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

UK All the Way!

Spring Break Road Trip!

Pasta! Pasta! Pasta! (Italian theme)

Baking Bonanza Basket

Low Reeds

Family Fun Night

Color Guard

Spa Day

Donated items can be given to Anna Sommer at school or dropped off during one of the times below.  Erin Sommer will be in the parking lot at the following times to pick up any donations.  Look for a white Toyota Camry with poster or balloons.  If lacrosse practice is taking place in the band lot, she will be in the senior lot.

5:45pm – 6:30pm

5:15pm – 5:45pm

5:00pm – 5:30pm

Parent Meeting

5:00pm – 5:45pm

5:00pm – 5:30pm

If none of these times work, please call Erin to make other arrangements at 227-4273 or email her at ehsommer@windstream.net

Caller Needed for Bingo

We are in need of a new caller at Bingo! The spot would require helping just one session every month from 6:45pm to the end of bingo about 10pm. If you like telling others what to do or enjoy the sound of your own voice, this is the job for you! There are also other openings for positions, especially for the senior parents who will be leaving us in about 4 months – hard to believe! Please note that expressing interest in any of the Bingo jobs is not considered a commitment.  You can “shadow” a position at our regular Tuesday night game. If a job doesn’t appeal to you, that’s perfectly fine.

Please contact Dan Prevette at lafayettebandbingo@gmail.com with questions. We cannot run Bingo without lots of volunteer help – WE NEED YOU!
