We’ve kicked off our fundraiser with Snap! Raise, the nation’s leading fundraising platform for groups, clubs, and teams next Wednesday, October 14th. For the past five years, Snap! Raise has helped more than 35,000 groups in the U.S. raise more than $400M in funding! We raised 26,000 last year to support the Lafayette band! Snap!Raise allows Lafayette Band to keep 80% of the profits if we get full band participation- and they do all the work! This fundraiser has been highly successful for the past 2 years, and funds raised will help fill the gap that not playing BINGO has left in our budget. Please look at this with your student over the weekend, as we will be communicating with the kids on Monday and Tuesday via class Zoom and they will need to have their emails by then.
You will be directed to add your emails. The expectation is that every member of our team has 20 quality emails uploaded to your profile. I will be able to track this!
Here are 20 examples of people your student should consider adding at a minimum.

Make sure your emails do NOT include students, teachers, fake emails, etc. and are only legitimate potential donors. Again, I will be tracking this.
What if you want to just “opt-out”? Opt-out donation must be a full $75 paid by the student’s family. Families with more than one student in the band are welcome to opt out at $75 for the first student and $50 each student after. Kids who choose to opt-out DO NOT need to enter emails but are automatically entered into the running for prizes and $75 will be counted toward their section’s total. An opt-out check should be mailed to LBA, P.O. Box 910450, Lex, Ky, 40591-0450 or given to Jennie Hayes directly. Opt-out donations must be received before this coming Friday, 10/23/20 in order to be counted toward section totals.
PRIZES for Snap! Raise:
INDIVIDUAL KIDS WITH 20 VALID EMAILS ENTERED OR WHO RAISE MORE THAN $200 WILL GET INTO THE RUNNING TO WIN ONE OF 3 $25 GIFT CARDS TO ORANGELEAF, STARBUCK’S, OR CHICK-FIL-A. Drawing will be made on 10/24/20 and announced in the 10/25/20 e-News.
SECTION WITH THE HIGHEST TOTAL DOLLAR AMOUNT: Participating students of the section with the highest total amount raised will get to play “Ski-Ball” from the tower using water balloons. The students will be allowed up into the tower (socially distanced) to throw 5 water balloons each at targets on the band lot. The student who hits the highest number total during the game will win a 5-pound bag of gummy bears.
INDIVIDUAL PRIZES: The top dollar amount recipient will receive $50 cash, 2nd place will receive $25 cash, and 3rd place will receive $15 cash.
